⚠️ California insurance costs are rising — FAIR Plan rates up 29%, Oct 15, 2026

Your wildfire discount could be worth $500 to over $4,000 a year — but your insurance company won't just hand it to you

Whether you're with a traditional carrier or you've been forced onto the California FAIR Plan, state law mandates that insurers offer premium discounts for wildfire hardening. The catch? They don't make it easy to claim. Zone Zero gives you the tools and knowledge to document your defenses, prove your eligibility, and pursue the savings you're already entitled to.

Free to Walk Through — $99/Year Unlocks Your Documents

Complete the entire guided assessment at no cost. When you're ready for your real, finished homeowner instructions and broker report, a $99/year subscription unlocks them — redo the walkthrough as often as you need all year, cancel anytime.

Actual savings depend on your property, your insurer, and which criteria your property meets. Discounts shown are the maximum currently available per carrier — not a guarantee of any specific outcome. Confirm applicable discounts with your insurance broker.

Important Disclaimer: This tool provides a guided self-assessment and does not constitute a professional or official property inspection. Zone Zero Fire Inspections LLC is an independent entity and is not an insurance provider, government agency, or affiliated with the California FAIR Plan, any insurance carrier, or the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). Final eligibility and policy discounts must be verified directly by your insurance broker or, where applicable, a certified IBHS evaluator.
Safety First: Every step of this assessment can be completed safely from ground level. Under no circumstances are you required to use a ladder or climb onto your roof.
California State Discount Path: Upon completion, you will receive a signed report you can submit directly to your insurance broker. This document records the mitigation steps you self-assessed, at no cost beyond your Zone Zero access — it does not itself determine or guarantee which discounts apply. Your broker makes that determination and may independently verify any finding before applying it to your policy.
IBHS Designation Prep: This specific track is designed purely as a preparatory assessment and should not be submitted to your broker. Earning the official IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ designation requires a separate, non-refundable $125 fee paid directly to IBHS, followed by an official in-person evaluation. This self-check acts as a pre-screening tool, ensuring you know exactly what will pass and what needs work before the official evaluator arrives.
